Green & Black Packaging
Green & Black rebrand. The initial brief set was to rebrand a range of packaging which would change the presence of the product on the shop floor. I chose Green & Black which on a personal note was a challenge as the brands existing packaging is already aseptically pleasing but I enjoy a challenge. The idea behind this design came from the research that cocoa trees grow 20 degree either side of the equator which was a nice direction to explore. Firstly I explored the map side of things but its been done many times before and I wanted to create something which was extremely different. The main aspect of this design I wanted the initial idea to be the main visual element which was the equator line running through the pack. The package would rip into two side which shows the idea that across the world everyone loves to share this delicious chocolate treat. The discrete contour lines are a nice hidden factor which keeps that map reference in but was a nice graphic visual to include. I produced the ampersand to indicate the swirl of melted chocolate which turned out to be a dynamic piece of design. Overall the colour palette I used worked well and I believe these would have a visual impact on the shop shelves with all these element intriuging the consumer.
